Six months have passed since the broadcast announcing the end of the war. Chisato's husband still hasn't returned from the battlefield. Believing that she would return home alive, Chisato lived at her husband's brother's house. Every time a letter arrives, Chisato receives it thinking it might be from her husband, but is disappointed. The postman threatened to not give her the letter and forced himself into a relationship with Chisato. My brother-in-law lost his wife in an air raid. He asks Chisato to forget his brother and be with him.
